From Kuwait City and environs, take either road 40 (The Magreb motorway) or road 30 (The Fahaheel Expressway) South towards Nuwaiseeb and Saudi Arabia. Road 30 joins with road 40 about 15 kilometres South of Fahaheel. Continue South on road 40 passing a MacDonalds and petrol station on your right and then the Al-Zoor fire station. Al-Zoor power station, with its twin smoke stacks should be visible to your left. From this point Khiran resort is well signposted. You need to take a U-turn to get onto road 278, which leads to the resort. Watch out for the speed bumps on 278 as these often change position! When you reach the end of 278 you have to turn right, just past a speed bump and a small security hut, to reach the gates into the marina. If the marina gates are locked (such as in Ramadan) then you must go through the main gate into the resort itself.
